Environmentally-friendly dyes were used on this silk scarf!
Looking for a chic silk scarf? But not classic chic? Maybe a bit creative?
This style can be described as arty, hippy chic, colourful, nothing to do with the fashion of the day.
For women who dare to do their own thing, create their own style and choose their own colours.
This scarf is coloured with environmentally-friendly dyes and made of leftovers after cutting blouses.
Usually when making clothes a lot of pieces of textiles end up in the waste bin.
I’m happy not to throw these pieces away and at the same time to make HAPPY SCARVES!
Some of the photos show a bit of the work in progress.
I use many different types of silk: doupion, burette, crêpe de chine, pongé, wild silk, hantoug, matka.
Some are thin and transparant, others thick, matt or shiny, stretchy, or woven irregularly.
